London Sci Fi & Fantasy Authors

Connect with fellow writers, participate in monthly workshops, and unleash your creativity in London's most vibrant sci-fi and fantasy writing community. From first drafts to published works, we're here to support your journey.

About Us

Welcome to London Sci-Fi & Fantasy Authors — a home for writers and lovers of speculative fiction to connect, create, and achieve their literary goals. Founded in February 2025 by Ty Ogunade, the group was created to foster a supportive, down-to-earth community for authors of science fiction and fantasy who want to grow together and break through the barriers of an often gatekept industry.

Whether you're working on your first short story, a sprawling space opera, a fantasy epic, a game script, or your next published novel, this is a space to share your journey and learn from others. We welcome writers pursuing bothtraditional and self-publishing paths, united by a love of imaginative storytelling and a desire to uplift one another.

We host three events each month: two Writing Sessions, where members come together to focus on their work, and one Special Event such as a publishing Q&A, workshop, social, or open mic night. You can find all upcoming events in our calendar and RSVP via the provided links.

Join us as we build a creative, accessible, and inspiring community for speculative fiction writers in London and beyond.

Meet the Team

Nathan

Nathan

Scientist by day and historian by night, Nathan is a writer who likes to blend his love of ancient Greek and Roman history and myth with the freedom of fantasy to tell grounded stories with magical elements taking a backseat role. He is looking to be in a position to start querying his fantasy novel later this year.

Glynn Goodall

Glynn Goodall

Glynn Goodall was an English teacher for 15 years, a Radio DJ, Sony Award Winner and Oxford University graduate. He has failed to live up to his potential, but soothes the pain by writing science fiction and fantasy. He is probably a bigger geek than you, but is happy to be proved wrong.

DeeDee

DeeDee

DeeDee is an emerging Sci-Fi writer and poet, currently working on her first sci-fi novel infused with poetry. She's one of the organisers for London Sci-Fi & Fantasy Authours and loves discovering new sci-fi writers, perspectives and worlds. — "Stop talking and type."

Andreas

Andreas

Andreas has been writing for 30 years, finishing his first book back in 2009 (and editing ever since!) He writes high fantasy, inspired by Tolkein, George R. R. Martin and Robert Jordan. After writing his first book, he has since written 2 more books and hopes to publish the first one very soon.
